En særlig begivenhed: Første gang i Danmark! 

Det er med stor ære og glæde, at vi kan byde velkommen til “Spirituelle Filmdage” med et helt særligt internationalt besøg. Vi er privilegerede, idet vi får besøg fra USA af den internationalt anerkendte brasilianske, spiritistiske filminstruktør, forfatter og producent, Wagner de Assis.

Filmen “Astral City” er baseret på bogen af samme navn, psykograferet (automatskrevet)af Chico Xavier. 

Filmen fortæller historien om lægen André Luiz, som efter sin død vågner i en åndelig dimension. 

Han passerer gennem Umbral – et område præget af lidelse – indtil han bliver reddet og ført til den åndelige koloni “Nosso Lar”. 

Her lærer han om livet efter døden og om den indre udvikling, som fører sjælen mod lys og harmoni.

Astral City: A Spiritual Journey – Movie Trailer (English) (Nosso lar) (2010)

Filmen “The hidden face of medicine” giver et fascinerende indblik i livet hos lægen Paulo Cesar Fructuoso.

Lægen har mere end 40 år arbejdet som kræftkirurg – samtidig med, at han har deltaget i materialisations-seancer og åndelige operationer i det berømte “Lar de Frei Luiz” i Rio de Janeiro.

Filmen "Indigo Girl" er om pigen, Sofia, som har særlige evner til at heale. Hun står midt i en konflikt mellem sin mor, der ønsker at beskytte hende, og sin far, der ser hendes kræfter som en vej til berømmelse.

Filmen skildrer barndommens renhed, mediernes udnyttelse og den medfødte spiritualitet hos de såkaldte indigo-børn.

Filmen “Chico Xavier Forever” er en rørende dokumentar, der hylder livet og arven efter Chico
Xavier – Brasiliens mest elskede medium og psykograf.

Gennem interviews, arkiv-optagelser og genskabte scener følger filmen hans livsrejse, hans dedikation til spiritismen og den dybe indflydelse, han har haft på den brasilianske kultur og spiritualitet.

Chico Para Sempre – Trailer Oficial

Filmen “The Fox Sisters” er inspireret af den virkelige historie om Kate og Margaret Fox, som i
midten af 1800-tallet blev pionerer for den moderne spiritistiske bevægelse.

De kunne kommunikere med ånder, og deres seancer i Hydesville, New York, vakte enorm international opmærksomhed.

Filmen udforsker søstrenes mod, de kontroverser de stod overfor, og den varige betydning af deres arbejde for forståelsen af det åndelige.

It is with great joy that we are open for registrations for the film festival "SPIRITUAL FILM DAYS" on 27 and 28 June 2026, from 09:30 to 18:00. The event will take place in the heart of Copenhagen at the charming independent cinema, Cafébiografen Vester Vov Vov. The address is: Absalonsgade 5, 1658 København V, Denmark.

A Special Event: For the First Time in Denmark!

We are honoured and delighted to welcome you to "Spiritual Film Days" featuring a very special international guest. We are privileged to be joined by the internationally renowned Brazilian Spiritist film director, author, and producer, Wagner de Assis, travelling all the way from the USA.

Meet the Director: Dialogue and Debate Throughout the Weekend

We have carefully selected five films from Wagner’s repertoire. What makes this festival special is that Wagner de Assis will be present throughout both Saturday and Sunday.

Wagner de Assis looks forward to discussing the content of the films and related spiritual topics with you, as this is an integral part of the programme.

Saturday, 27 June 2026 – Three Films:

The films are in Brazilian Portuguese with English subtitles. They are highly visual, so language should not be a barrier to participation. We will discuss the content after each screening, with the opportunity to ask the director questions. Questions can be asked in Danish, and we will translate for Wagner.

●      Astral City (Nosso Lar): Based on the book psychographed by Chico Xavier. It tells the story of Dr André Luiz, who awakens in a spiritual dimension after his death. He passes through the 'Umbral'—a place of suffering—before being rescued and taken to the spiritual colony "Nosso Lar," where he learns about life after death and inner growth.

●      The Hidden Face of Medicine: A fascinating insight into the life of Dr Paulo Cesar Fructuoso, a cancer surgeon for over 40 years who also participated in materialisation séances and spiritual surgeries.

●      Indigo Girl (Menina Índigo): Sofia is a girl with special healing gifts. The film depicts the purity of childhood, the exploitation of mediums, and the innate spirituality of so-called 'Indigo children'.

Sunday, 28 June 2026 – Two Films:

●      Chico Xavier Forever: A moving documentary celebrating the life and legacy of Brazil’s most beloved medium. (Brazilian with English subtitles).

●      The Fox Sisters: Inspired by the true story of Kate and Margaret Fox, pioneers of the modern Spiritualist movement in the mid-19th century. (In English with English subtitles).

Our primary aims are:

●      Enlightenment & New Insights: Presenting thought-provoking films that expand our horizons.

●      Knowledge Sharing & Debate: Creating a space for free discussion on spiritual topics with the director.

●      Networking & Bridge-building: Bringing people together across disciplines to create meaningful connections.

●      Cultural Exchange: Spreading knowledge of Spiritism and promoting spiritual diversity.

●      Inspiration & Reflection: Providing food for thought long after the weekend has ended.

Practical Information

This festival is a non-commercial event. The price solely covers actual costs (Wagner’s travel, accommodation, and cinema hire). We do not pay for Wagner’s time or the film screenings, and we are deeply grateful for his contribution.

●      Price per day: DKK 250 per person.

●      Members special (full weekend): DKK 400 for both days.

●      Location: Vester Vov Vov, central Copenhagen (within walking distance of Copenhagen Central Station).

Seating is unnumbered to maintain an informal and welcoming atmosphere.

About Wagner de Assis:

Wagner de Assis is a film director, producer, and screenwriter. He founded the production company Cinética Filmes in 1997 and made his directorial debut with "A Cartomante" (2004).

He was the writer and director of the biographical film "Kardec" (2019), produced by Conspiração Filmes and Sony Pictures. He achieved great success with the film "Nosso Lar / Astral City" (2010), which established him as a significant voice in cinema where faith, reflection, and art unite.

His works, including "Menina Índigo" (2016), "Amor Assombrado" (2019), and "Ninguém" (2023), have collectively attracted millions of cinemagoers. Furthermore, he has contributed as a writer to TV series such as "Além do Tempo" (2015) and "Espelho da Vida" (2018/19) for Rede Globo, and as director and screenwriter for the documentaries "The Hidden Face of Medicine" (2024) and "Chico Forever" (2022).

Among his upcoming projects are the feature films "Emmanuel" and "Advogado de Deus" – a co-production with Sony Pictures – and "The Fox Sisters" in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company.

Wagner’s international works are recognised worldwide. This is the first time Wagner has prioritised visiting Denmark to showcase a selection of his spiritual films, making this film weekend a truly unique event.
